Support or sponsor 50dives

Help us tell better dive stories—and put more divers in the water.

50dives exists to celebrate scuba diving the way we actually live it: the planning, the people, the local knowledge, the messy learning curves, the epic conditions, and the moments that make you surface grinning like an idiot. We’re building a project that’s equal parts inspiration and practical value—something divers want to follow and something the dive community can genuinely use.

If you’re a brand, dive shop, resort, charter, training agency, or anyone aligned with the sport, sponsoring 50dives is a way to support dive culture while connecting with divers who care about where they go, who they dive with, and what they use.

We keep sponsorship simple: you support what we’re building, and we make sure your support is visible in a way that feels natural, respectful, and on-brand for both of us.

Why 50dives is worth backing

Diving isn’t just a hobby—it’s a whole ecosystem. Shops and operators keep local communities diving. Brands push gear forward. Instructors and guides keep people safe. Travelers bring energy (and revenue) to dive destinations. And storytellers help all of it thrive by keeping the excitement alive and making the next trip feel possible.

That’s where 50dives comes in.

We’re creating a home for dive experiences that feels human and current—built for people who want to get out and dive, not just scroll pretty reef photos. The project is unique because we focus on the full dive journey: what it’s like, what surprised us, what we learned, and why a place (or a shop, or a boat, or a piece of gear) is worth paying attention to.

If you’re considering sponsorship, you’re probably asking a few practical questions:

  • Will this reach the right people? We’re here for divers—active, curious, planning their next trip, looking for trustworthy recommendations.
  • Will it feel authentic? Yes. We only want partnerships that make sense to the diving audience and don’t compromise the voice or the trust.
  • Is this a long-term platform? That’s the goal. We’re building 50dives to grow over time, with relationships that can grow with it.

Ways to support 50dives

We’re flexible, and we’d rather build something that works for both sides than force you into a rigid “package.” If you’re interested, we’ll talk through what you want to achieve and match it with a type of support that makes sense.

Here are a few common ways partners support projects like ours:

Sponsorship funding Support the work directly—travel, production, platform development, and the unglamorous but essential costs of showing up consistently and publishing quality content.

Gear and equipment support If you make or sell equipment, we’re open to collaboration in a way that respects the audience. Divers can smell fake enthusiasm instantly; we’d rather be transparent, specific, and helpful than overly promotional.

Dive shop and operator collaboration Dive shops, boats, guides, and resorts can support by hosting, collaborating on content, sharing local insight, or helping us experience a destination the way it’s meant to be dived. If you’re proud of what you run, we love showcasing that craft.

Cross-promotion and community support Sometimes the best support is amplification—sharing, collaborating, and helping 50dives reach divers who will genuinely care.

Not sure what category you fit into? That’s normal. Tell us what you do and what you’re hoping to get out of a partnership, and we’ll propose a sensible approach.

What sponsors get (and how we handle it)

Sponsorship should feel like a win for everyone—especially the divers reading and watching.

When you support 50dives, you’re not buying a loud ad slot; you’re aligning with a diving-first platform that aims to earn attention by being useful and fun. Depending on the partnership, recognition can include things like:

  • Sponsor mentions or credit where appropriate
  • Brand placement that fits the content (not forced into it)
  • Collaboration on stories, destination features, or dive experiences
  • Long-term visibility through evergreen content

We’ll always be clear about what’s sponsored, and we’ll avoid anything that undermines trust. We want divers to feel confident in what they’re reading—and we want sponsors to feel proud of how they’re represented.

A great fit if you…

We work best with sponsors who care about the same things we do:

  • Safety and competence over hype
  • Real dive culture (the people, the boats, the shops, the communities)
  • Quality—in training, guiding, gear, and experiences
  • Curiosity and stewardship—a respect for the underwater world and the places that depend on it

If that sounds like you, we should talk.

Let’s talk sponsorship

The next step is simple: reach out and tell us a little about who you are and what kind of support you’re considering. If you already have an idea in mind, great. If you don’t, we’ll help you shape one.

Head to our Contact page and include:

  • Your organization name and website
  • What you’d like to support (the project overall, a destination, gear, a series, etc.)
  • Any goals you have (brand awareness, local visibility, bookings, community support)

We’ll get back to you to set up a quick conversation and figure out a partnership that fits.

Thanks for considering supporting 50dives. If you believe diving deserves better stories, better guidance, and more momentum—let’s build it together.
