50dives is built around a simple idea: diving is better when you’ve got a crew. This page is where we keep you in the loop on our planned and confirmed stops, plus how you can help shape where we go next. If you’re a certified diver looking for an easy way to plug into a fun meetup—this is your starting point.
We keep things flexible on purpose. Conditions change, calendars shift, and the best dives often happen because someone local says, “You have to see this site—come here next.” So consider this page your live hub: what’s coming up, what’s being planned, and how to raise your hand if you want a 50dives stop in your area.
Our stops: planned, confirmed, and in the works
We organize stops around great diving and great people. Some locations lock in early, and others come together when we see the right combo of weather, visibility, access, and local momentum.
Here’s how to read our updates:
- Confirmed stops are locations we’re actively organizing for a specific window and coordinating with local divers.
- Planned stops are next-in-line destinations we’re targeting, pending conditions and logistics.
- In the works are places we’re talking about with locals—often the most exciting category, because that’s where you can still shape the plan.
Because we don’t want to post a “schedule” that becomes outdated the minute Mother Nature has other ideas, we share the most accurate, current info through our updates and direct coordination. If you want the latest on a specific state or region, reach out—especially if you’re local and want to help rally divers.

What an event feels like (and who it’s for)
If you’ve ever wanted the vibe of a dive trip without the pressure of committing to a full-on expedition, you’ll feel at home here.
A 50dives stop is about:
- Meeting other certified divers who actually want to dive, not just talk about diving.
- Keeping it welcoming—whether you’ve got 25 dives or 500, you’ll find your people.
- Making it easy to join—you don’t need an “in” with a local circle. That’s the point.
We’re not here to complicate your weekend with rigid plans. We’re here to get you in the water, help you connect with solid humans, and create the kind of diving memories that make you start scanning your calendar for the next one.
Want a stop in your area? Here’s how to make it happen
The fastest way to get 50dives to your state is simple: be the local spark. You don’t have to run a shop or be a dive pro—you just need to care enough to help us coordinate.
If you want to bring a stop to your area, send us:
- Your state / region (and the closest major city)
- The kind of diving you’re excited about (shore, boat, lake, quarry, springs, etc.)
- Your best time windows (a couple of weekends or a general season)
- What local access looks like (popular sites, permits if you know them, typical conditions)
- How you’d like to help (anything from “I’ll spread the word” to “I’ll help coordinate a meetup spot”)
You don’t need to have every detail figured out. In fact, we’d rather start the conversation early. If a stop has enough interest and the logistics make sense, we’ll help turn your “we should do this” into an actual meetup.
Community meetups: more than just a dive
Yes, we’re diving—but the surface interval is where the community gets built.
Depending on the stop, meetups can be as simple as grabbing food after the dive, swapping site notes, and making plans for the next day. If you’re new in town, traveling through, or just want a crew that’s excited to get wet, these stops are designed to help you feel like you belong quickly.
And if you’re local? You’re the secret ingredient. Local knowledge makes every stop better: what time to hit a site, where to park, which conditions to watch, and which post-dive spot actually has room for a bunch of hungry divers.
Help us keep updates accurate (and make stops better)
Stops work best when the community keeps us honest and informed.
If you hear about access changes, seasonal closures, site updates, or you’ve got a “trust me, this is the weekend” recommendation—tell us. The whole 50dives idea is built on divers helping divers.
Join a stop or start one
If you’re looking for where we’re headed next, want to join a meetup, or want to bring 50dives to your state, reach out and say hi.
Tell us where you are, what you want to dive, and what kind of meetup you’d actually show up for—we’ll take it from there.
